Divisional Veterinary Director  – North East 

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and motivated vet who has what it takes to lead and inspire our clinical teams.

You’re passionate about leading and inspiring teams to perform to their very best.

Top of your list will be establishing a culture of consistent working and compliance, championing best practice and exceptional clinical care – as well as external regulatory standards. You will be an advocate for RCVS and BVA guidelines, monitoring and driving improvements across the division.

Through supporting the development of the people plan, focusing on the clinical development of the current teams, retention and succession plans, you’ll ensure exceptional clinical care is delivered across all aspects of the client journey. You’ll partner with the Regional Operations Directors to make sure that complaints are resolved efficiently and effectively.

You’ll embed a ‘one team’ culture and provide visible and accessible leadership and direction across the division; building positive and respective relationships and encouraging everyone to act as an ambassador for Medivet.

To be considered you should be an experienced MRCVS and hold RCVS Vet GDP advisor status.

Role Accountabilities

  • Establish culture and ensure compliance of our internal policies and governance as well as external regulatory bodies such as RCVS, driving improvements across the division.
  • Own and chair divisional Quality improvement committees and engage in relevant clinical boards as needed.
  • Provide visible leadership, guidance, and direction to embed a One team culture. Support people plans, development plans, and encouraging clinical knowledge sharing.
  • Pioneering better ways of working and improving clinical standards.
  • Support the clinics in delivering excellent client service and provide support to the regional operations directors to aid in complaints handling.
  • Implement industry advances in clinical care. Identify gaps in our clinical offering and champion our exceptional clinical standards and QI.
