As a Project Document Controller you will be working on and supporting the quality department on the building of three new Substation projects in the Argyll & Bute area, supporting our Substation colleagues to deliver 'Right First Time' quality projects to our clients.
What you'll be doing
As a Document Controller, you will have the following accountabilities:
- Manage and maintain confidential records
- Execute on workflows / transmittal processes
- Manage the control of Internal and External registers, to ensure they both align
- Create templates and file all relevant documentation- Sharepoint and other platforms
- Distribute information with correct configuration management and version control
- Seek continuous improvement on current systems and processes
- Provide Feedback on any documentation issues that impact the wider business
- Liaise with project teams to ensure that they have a full understanding of document control
- Provide training as required such that documentation control requirements are met
- Ensure that the project team are notified of all potential opportunities and risks
- Support in compilation, control and submission of Quality handover information
- Check and review formatting of documentation
- Provide information for various project KPI's
Who we're looking for
The following skills / experience are essential:
- Proficient in IT systems used in documentation control - ViewPoint, BIM360 plus other EDMS experience
- Experience of document control
- Basic understanding of BIM and digital tools
- An ability to understand how the operations of the department relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business
- Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation
- Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence
- Experience of working on a variety of project types
- Must hold an up to date driving license
