Dog Groomer

Carter & Co are opening their second premises and we are looking for a Dog Groomer either fully qualified or looking to qualify with an eagerness to learn. Training alongside the owners with the view to run one of our salons after successful training period. We offer a variety of benefits and flexible hours. This is a self employed role for now but could potentially look at employed. Pay is to be discussed with potential candidates. We currently operate Monday-Saturday alternate Saturdays off and 1/2 days off in the week, 4 working days a week depending on ability.

Responsibilities:
- Provide grooming services to a variety of dog breeds
- Perform bathing, brushing, and hair trimming according to customer specifications
- Ensure the safety and well-being of dogs during the grooming process
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and address any concerns
- Handle and restrain animals as necessary during grooming procedures

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of different grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs
- Ability to handle and lift heavy animals
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
