Job description

£28,840 - £35,541 Pro-rata (Increasing February, 18.5 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year)
We're looking for a Dog Grooming expert to bring our curriculum to life and help provide a fantastic experience for our students (and four-legged friends!)
You'll need to be able to deliver content to learners at different levels, providing pastoral support and while also enthusiastically working with colleagues partners in the sector to help develop the curriculum.
You'll have the chance to gain your assessor's award if not already held, as well as a formal teaching qualification if coming straight from industry.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Teaching and Assessing students
  • Supporting the running of the Dog Grooming salon
  • Working closely with the full-time lecturer and technician
  • Providing pastoral and administrative support for learners
  • Networking with external partners to ensure courses stay relevant to industry
  • Championing our commitment to putting students first
  • Promoting our values of fairness, respect & equality
After your first year with us, success would look like:
  • All students achieved or exceeded their target grade through exciting and dynamic teaching, learning and assessment
  • You have successfully enrolled your own cohort of students
  • Gained formal Assessor qual if not already held

  • Hold a relevant formal Dog Grooming qualification and Salon experience
  • Have a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards within 12 months of starting (College funded)
