Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Clan Canines is Scotland's multi-award-winning, premium dog adventure & home boarding service. Founded in 2016, we have continued to grow and expand and we now have a team of four, covering 2 geographic locations in Scotland.

We aim to give our dogs enriching and fun experiences in a variety of locations and in small, well balanced groups.

Clan Canines was founded in 2016 and is Scotland's premium dog adventure and home boarding service. Over the years we have expanded the team and the locations we cover, as well as winning multiple awards for both our walking service and our home boarding service.

We are expanding again and are seeking 1 - 2 reliable and passionate Dog Walkers to join our team. We are also seeking someone who can provide home boarding services to our client base and both roles could be filled by the same person or seperate candidates.

These roles are self-employed and you must have your own, suitable vehicle to transport multiple dogs.

As a Dog Walker, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs and provide them with the exercise and care they need. This is a great opportunity for individuals who love animals and enjoy being outdoors.

As a Home Boarder, you will provide a home-from-home experience for our clients. This could be overnight or for several weeks, depending on the needs of our clients.

Duties:

- Walk dogs on a regular schedule, ensuring they get the exercise they need

- Reinforce basic commands and recall during walks

- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly

- Monitor dogs' behavior and report any concerns or issues to the owner

- Ensure the safety of both the dogs and yourself during walks

- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding dog walking

Skills:

- Customer service skills to interact with dog owners in a professional and friendly manner

- Basic Canine First Aid knowledge, to recognise signs of distress or illness in dogs

- Ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may be large or require assistance

- Good knowledge of dog behaviour
