Dog walker (One to One)

Established in 2013, we are an independent solo dog walking/pet sitting business based in Chelsea, London. We cover Chelsea & South Kensington & walk one owners' dog(s) at a time and pick up/drop off on foot.

Duties:

• Walk dogs on a regular schedule, Monday to Friday, in all weathers (applicants must be available between 9.30am and 3pm weekdays - flexibility is essential).
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in your care
• Provide exercise and mental stimulation for the dogs. We only walk one owners' dog(s) at a time and all dogs are picked up on foot.
• Clean up after the dogs during walks
• Monitor the behaviour and health of the dogs and report any concerns to the owner of the business

Skills:

• Strong customer service skills to interact with dog owners
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
• Knowledge of basic animal care and behaviour
• Ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may be large or pull on the leash
• Previous experience of looking after dogs.

You must have good spoken/written English, be computer literate and able to use a smartphone. Written proof will be needed to show that you are eligible to work in the UK. 2 written references are required along with a DBS check (we can help you obtain this certificate)

This is a role that would suit a dog lover who has plenty of free time and is not looking for a 'fill in' job whilst looking for permanent employment.
