Domestic Assistant

Based primarily at 21 Freeman Street, with the adaptability to work across the entire YMCA Humber portfolio in Grimsby and the local area. This essential role will ensure that all facilities, buildings, and public areas are maintained to the highest of cleaning standards, with specific focus upon communal areas accessible to public and service users under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Operations.

Previous cleaning experience would be advantageous, with high attention to detail and an ability to follow and understand instructions. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a variation of domestic cleaning tasks in our public facing areas and therefore possess a solid understanding of the procedural and safety requirements of the type of work they are implementing. With service provision at the forefront of what YMCA Humber offer, the need to meet strict deadlines and ability to self-motive form an essential part of this key role.

Core Contracted Hours are assigned to this new role, with the flexibility to work to an internal fluid rota covering hours over mornings and early evenings to suit the needs of the service.

As a Real Living Wage employer, we can offer successful candidates a starting rate of £12.00 per hour, equating to £16,224.00 per annum.

As a front facing member of our Operational Team, the successful candidate will have a positive outlook and the adaptability to prioritise tasks both pre planned, assigned and on an ad-hoc basis. In addition, due to the role requiring the ability to work across several sites, flexibility and a full current driving licence are essential.

Due to the nature of the role a fully enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS) is required for all employees and will be provided on a 3 yearly basis by YMCA Humber.
