About The Service


Crosslands, part of Cardiff Council Substitute Family Care, is a Children’s Home located in the Ely area of Cardiff delivering high quality care to 6 young people between the ages of 11-17 inclusive.


Ty Storrie, part of Cardiff Council Substitute Family Care, is a short stay Children’s Home, located in the Ely area of Cardiff. Ty Storrie’s team offers support to families by providing an individual package of support and care to children and young people aged between 8 -17 with disabilities and complex needs.


About the job


The Domestic Assistant is an essential part of the team and as such works with other staff to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for all young people and staff.

We now have an exciting opportunity for two Domestic Assistants to join our experienced and dedicated Residential Childrens Home teams:

Ty Storrie:

  • 20 Hour Domestic Assistant permanent post including weekend working (Enhanced payment). You will be required to work every other weekend.
  • Shift pattern: related to the DOMESTIC Assistant post - 4 hours per day over 5 days, from 10am till 2pm
  • Location & Type: Tŷ Storrie is located in the Ely area of Cardiff and is a Childrens Home for children and young people aged between 8 -17 with disabilities and complex needs.

Crosslands:

  • 25 Hour Domestic Assistant permanent post including weekend working (Enhanced payment).
  • Shift pattern: related to the DOMESTIC Assistant post – 5 hours per day over 5 days, from 9am till 2pm.
  • Location & Type: Crosslands is located in the Ely area of Cardiff delivering high quality care to 6 young people between the ages of 11-17 inclusive.

To maintain the high standard of cleanliness throughout the home using the approved cleaning methods.
