Domestic Violence Support Worker

Moxie People are supporting a well-established. leading support service working tirelessly to eradicate homelessness and VAWDASV across Wales. The charity have a supportive and caring team which are committed to combatting the effects of domestic abuse within their community through support,education and raising awareness.
The charity are searching for an enthusiastic, supportive go-getter with a positive attitude to provide support to vulnerable women and children. The position will initially be a 3 month contract, with view to extend/ be made permanent if the right candidate is found.No two days will be the same in this peripatetic Support Worker role. You will be responsible for providing an in-depth floating support/refuge support service to women and children accessing Llamau's services throughout the Caerphilly borough. This will involve supporting women with tenancy applications/maintenance, claiming benefits, liaising with other agencies such as social workers/police where appropriate, encouraging women to pursue healthy lifestyles and providing education around the importance of maintaining healthy relationships.

Location: Caerphilly Borough (Mixture of floating/ refuge based support)
Transport: Access to own vehicle and a full, clean, UK driving license is essential for this role
Salary: £12.28 per hour (£22,353 FTE)
Role Description: Providing tenancy related support to women who have gone through domestic and/or sexual abuse. Helping them with anything they need support with such as attending appointments, filling out forms, cooking/cleaning, accessing services in the community and building self-confidence to do tasks independently.
Hours/Shift Patterns: Full time - 35 hours- to be worked over Mon - Fri between 9:00 am - 17.00 pm(No Weekends/ Nights!)
DBS: Enhanced full dbs for children/adults on the update service required, or candidates must be prepared to pay for one themselves
