Domestic Violence Support Worker

Job Description

Caritas Futures is supporting well known VAWG charity for a Domestic Abuse/ Domestic Violence Support Worker role in London.

We are looking for someone to join a 'whole family approach' multi-agency team and your role will be to support women in families who are affected by Domestic Violence and want to stay together. You will be the domestic abuse expert and will work alongside an MDT made up of children and young people, perpetrator, substance misuse and mental health professionals.

This is a hybrid working role with a lot of online meetings and support, however, there would be travel as required.

Experience:

• Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable people
• Working with high-risk clients
• Risk and needs assessment
• Multi agency work
• Working with vulnerable adults affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, or ex-offenders

Due to the nature of the work the following are essential:

• DBS on update service or one will be conducted on your behalf
