Position: Draftsman Location: RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk, UK Note: Own transport is essential due to the location. Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30-16:30 Contract: 6 months (extendable) Day Rate: £200 Outside IR35 Start Date: 05/02/24 Osiris Recruitment is proud to support our client in recruiting for a skilled draftsman to join their team at RAF Lakenheath. This role will be instrumental in supporting the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron/Engineering Flight on various projects. RAF Lakenheath is the largest US Air Force-operated base in England and boasts the only F-15 fighter wing in the US Air Force in Europe (USAFE). Experience Required: Three years of proven experience in civil, construction, or survey design drafting, particularly with AutoCAD. At least one year of experience with GIS software. Proficient in Autodesk, ESRI, and Microsoft Office. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, geography, architecture, construction management or GIS is favourable. Job Description: Your role will encompass various activities including: Creating CAD and GIS drawings, maps, and other design elements. Managing drawing databases. Collaborating with team members to ensure end-user requirements are met. Performance Objectives: Consistently produce accurate design drawings, layouts, and sketches. Deliver documents by the required due date 90% of the time. Complete any required revisions within 2 days.
