Role Overview:

As a Draughtsperson, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of structural steel drawings. Collaborating closely with our engineering and project management teams, you will transform conceptual designs into detailed, accurate, and fabrication-ready drawings. Your work will directly contribute to the successful execution of diverse projects, ranging from commercial buildings to industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D drawings using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, etc.).
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet structural and safety standards.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to create precise steel fabrication plans.
  • Generate material lists, bill of materials, and other documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide insights on design feasibility and optimisation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Draughtsperson in a structural steel or related industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar drafting software.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
