Drainage Engineer

Suddenstrike Ltd is a family run business, founded in 1997, based in Nantwich, Cheshire.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our drainage team, to carry out drainage works throughout Cheshire and surrounding areas.

This position is a long-term career opportunity, for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person and will involve resolving day to day drainage issues, operating a remote control Flowplant van pack jetting unit, carrying out CCTV drainage surveys using a Mini-Cam Solo Pro+ with WinCan software and undertaking minor remedial works for both residential and commercial sites. The ability to problem solve and make recommendations in order to fix customers issues is essential for the role.

Key Skills

• Minimum of 3 years previous experience in the drainage industry
• Excellent customer and communication skills
• Certification to carry out high pressure water jetting
• Competent in plotting accurate drainage plans, recording CCTV footage and producing WinCan reports
• Experience in all aspects of drainage repairs, lining, reinstating and groundworks
• Possess a good understanding of onsite health and safety, CSCS certification would be beneficial
• Confident in using IT, including a tablet based diary and job reporting system
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Able to work flexible hours when required
• The successful candidate will be required to manage an existing client base whilst actively seeking out new customers.
