About the Role
Manpower UK Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Drainage Operative to join our clients team in Sussex, You will play a crucial role in maintaining the sewerage network by responding to blockages and customer issues. You will also be involved in customer and client liaison, incident reporting, and escalation.
Hours of work: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
Unblocking and maintaining the sewerage network: Utilise a high-pressure jetter van pack to effectively clear blockages and maintain the flow of the sewerage network.
Customer and client interaction: Foster positive relationships with customers and clients by addressing their concerns, resolving issues promptly, and providing exceptional customer service.
Incident reporting and escalation: Accurately report incidents and escalate complex issues to the appropriate personnel, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
CCTV surveys and reporting: Conduct Look See Push Rod CCTV surveys to assess the condition of the sewerage network and generate comprehensive reports.
Digital sewer incident reporting: Utilise MS Windows-based digital sewer incident reporting software to document blockages and maintenance activities efficiently.
Confined space entry and safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols when entering confined spaces during sewer maintenance tasks.
SHEQ/H&S/POWRA adherence: Proactively adhere to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality), H&S (Health and Safety), and POWRA (Provisions and Conditions of Work Regulations Act 1996) Risk Assessments, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
Driving company vehicles: Safely operate company vehicles while maintaining a valid driving license for the role applied for.
Additional duties: Fulfill any additional duties assigned to support the team and the overall objectives of the department.
Key Competencies
- Full UK driving license: Possess a valid full UK driving license to operate company vehicles.
High-pressure water jetting experience: Demonstrate proven experience in operating high-pressure jetting equipment to clear blockages and maintain sewers.
Confined space experience: Have experience working safely in confined spaces, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
First Aid certification: Hold a valid First Aid certification to provide initial first aid assistance in case of emergencies.
NRSWA unit 2 Signing, Lighting, and Guarding certification: Possess NRSWA unit 2 Signing, Lighting, and Guarding certification to ensure safety and compliance on work sites.
