Job Description: We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our network of exceptional educators and Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive drama lessons, inspiring students through the art of drama, and directing school productions. This role requires a professional who is passionate about theatre arts and committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a stimulating drama curriculum that meets the educational needs of students across various age groups and skill levels.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters creativity, confidence, and collaboration among students.
  • Direct and produce high-quality school plays, musicals, and other performances, managing all aspects of production including casting, rehearsals, set design, and costumes.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their development.
  • Collaborate with school staff to continuously improve and innovate the drama curriculum.
  • Organize and lead extracurricular drama activities, workshops, and clubs to further engage students in the performing arts.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff, promoting the drama program within the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching drama in a school setting, with a track record of successful student outcomes.
  • Strong directing and production skills, with experience in staging school performances.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Demonstrated passion for drama and a commitment to fostering a love for the performing arts in students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a student-centered approach to teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
