The role
As a Drilling Trainer you will be responsible for delivering training courses across the organisation by designing, developing, and delivering courses and programmes in accordance with Fugro training and policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Fugro Academy Training team to design and develop training programmes.
- Virtual, Face to Face and Online Delivery of Drilling training courses and programmes
- Work closely with Land and Marine Drilling experts to gather the technical information required to develop training courses.
- Ensure a safe working environment, adhere to strict Health and Safety guidelines, and ensure the welfare of all course attendees.
- Respond to emails from across the organisation.
- Updating the company databases, keeping records up to date
- This role may require occasional, global travel to various Fugro or client offices to deliver training.
- Supporting other trainers
Who we’re looking for:
Essential
- Experience with drilling technology and operations, onshore and/or offshore
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good computer skills using Word / Excel / MS Project etc.
- Adaptability, with a proven ability to work as part of a small team and independently.
- Willingness to learn new skills, appropriate to the position, as Fugro Academy develops.
Desirable
- Coaching, mentoring, or training junior Drillers.
- Leadership, mentoring and management experience.
- Experience of training course design and development processes
