We’ve been established since 1933, so what we don’t know about plumbing, heating, bathrooms and outstanding service, is not worth knowing! Over the past ten years the business has developed extensively growing from a single branch to several. The role
Dust off your bucket and spade because BBS are coming to Weston! This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-talented Driver and Warehouse person to join our new branch in Weston. You’ll take ownership of all our warehouse operations to ensure they are carried out effectively and efficiently, as well as providing an efficient and timely driving service to our customer base.
Key responsibilities
Warehouse
- Picking deliveries.
- Checking off stock with high level of accuracy.
- Goods in.
- Phoning customers to inform them orders are ready.
- Booking in deliveries.
- Upholding health and safety in the warehouse.
- Ensuring warehouse tidiness and cleanliness is upkept.
- Stock rotation and management.
- Ensuring stock is held in good condition.
- Using outlook to contact customers and suppliers.
- Collaborating with superiors to lower stock loss.
Driving
- Carrying out vehicle safety checks.
- Delivering plumbing and heating goods to customers.
- Loading the van.
- Helping to route the delivery schedule.
About you
You will enjoy the variety this role has to offer. You will have a strong work ethic, good timekeeping and be confident in driving our Luton van to make deliveries locally. We offer a great progression route if you show aptitude to do more.
Skills
- Previous experience within a driving and Warehouse role.
- Customer focused, friendly and helpful.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
- A strong team player.
- Excellent timekeeping.
- Forklift licence desired but not essential as training will be provided.
- Confident at driving and adhering to traffic laws.
- Ambitious to develop a career with us and progress as we grow.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
Working hours 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday to be worked flexibly between 7.00am and 17.00pm and 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8.00am to 12.30pm.
