DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Driver's Mate to play a vital role in our daily distribution requirements. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures, with a committed attitude to Continuous Improvement, ultimately ensuring that all order deliveries are handled safely and in a timely manner.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices plus a high level of customer service, you will be making deliveries into customer homes, and be responsible for delivering items into the room of choice. You may also be responsible for fitting white goods if the customer has booked this.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Previous practical experience as a Drivers Mate, within a logistics or similar environment.
- Previous experience of the preparation, distribution and handling of volume orders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
- Good communication skills, and ability to maintain a professional manner in sometimes challenging conditions.
A recognised qualification in Manual Handling or Logistics will be well received.
