Driving Examiner – National

As a Driving Examiner you will conduct driving tests and will:

• Be there to put candidates at ease at a time when they’re likely to be nervous when taking the test.
• Control how the test is delivered and assess whether the candidate meets the necessary standard of safe driving.
• Determine if they pass or fail.
• Need to accurately record the result at the end of the test and provide verbal feedback to the candidate.

The role will be based with colleagues in the test centre but the examiner role is most definitely not a desk-based office role. As an examiner you will be required daily to get in and out of a variety of vehicles to conduct tests.

You will be given full training to enable you to join your colleagues in the test centre to make a valuable contribution to road safety.

The key requirements:

• You must be at least 23 years old with 3 years driving experience.
• You must have held a full UK or EU driving licence continuously for the last 3 years.
• You must have no more than 3 penalty points on your licence at time of application.
