We have an exciting opportunity to join our advice team in a newly developed role supporting volunteers and residents in West Sussex, making a difference every day. As a Duty Supervisor you will be responsible for our remote volunteers and provide cover at our centres for colleagues.
What will you do?
Advice Supervisors support volunteers to explore advice problems with clients, provide guidance on accessing information and advice resources so clients have the answers to the problems they face. Our Duty Supervisor will provide holiday and training cover for colleagues by supporting volunteer teams at one of our 6 offices in West Sussex. You will also be responsible for our remote based volunteers and run briefings and build a motivated team of volunteers.
You will provide training, quality checks and support advisors to progress in their knowledge and expertise. You will ensure appointments are allocated and all advice channels are resourced and ensure the centres run well and clients receive an excellent service.
Who you are
You will be a highly motivated individual who enjoys working with people, a problem solver who with an eye for detail and able to follow processes whilst staying people focused.
A team player with excellent customer service skills who can motivate others. Previous experience of social welfare advice would be beneficial and of motivating volunteers however full training will be provided for the right candidate who can quickly learn new information and communicate it effectively.
