ONLINE MARKETPLACE ASSISTANTS

Salary: £20,995 per annum or £10.42 per hour +

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours Monday -Friday 09:00 - 17:00

Location: Bates Industrial Estate, Harold Wood, RM3. Please note this is an onsite role with no option to work from home.

We're looking for creative online marketplace assistant to join Cancer

Research UK's Online Marketplace team. This could be your opportunity to work in your local area for one of UK's most trusted brands with all the benefits that brings. This includes 25 days holiday year + Public Holidays, paid sick leave and opportunities for career development.

We're growing as a team and have an opportunity for you to join us as Online Marketplace Assistant, where you will be photographing pre-loved items and working in our depot unpacking boxes and organising stock. This is an opportunity to do an interesting and active role as part of a supportive and diverse team. You may work as a Retail Assistant, Visual Merchandiser or run your own Etsy, Depop or Vied.

What will I be doing?

  • Taking High Quality photo's as per guidelines

  • Ensuring items are clean and presentable

  • Checking for designer labels

  • Sorting stock depending on each marketplace and their audience

  • Championing an ethical alternative to mass-produced clothing.

  • Researching items to ensure they are sent to the lister with the correct starting price and contain high performing search keywords

  • Working within our brand and photography guidelines to give a consistent look and feel to each marketplace

  • In cases will be able to support the end-to-end process of reviewing stock, photography, listing and dispatch.

What skills are you looking for?

  • Attention to detail

  • The ability to work to daily targets whilst maintaining a high standard of work

  • Good IT skills

Plus, ideally:

  • Interest in product photography

  • A creative flair

  • Knowledge of antiques, collectables, or fashion

  • Experience of buying or selling on eBay or other online marketplaces

  • Photography experience
