The Learning Development Manager will be responsible for bringing together the Trust's learning provision to support this. The Trust is at an important point in delivery of its learning programme as u3as settle into new patterns of learning following the pandemic.
The person will be a key link with internal stakeholders in the movement and together with the Head of Member Services will be responsible for delivery of the Trust’s learning plan and strategic objectives. The role will work with a number of learning related volunteer roles and the successful candidate will lead a small team to deliver this.
The Third Age Trust is the umbrella body supporting the u3a movement in the UK. Founded in 1982, the u3a is a UK-wide movement of locally run charities with interest groups that provide a wide range of opportunities for members who are no longer in full-time work to come together to learn for fun. Today we work with over 1000 local u3as with almost 400,000 members, and membership is growing.
