Uniserve Group, a dynamic and diverse global logistics company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Early Careers and Development Manager. Reporting directly to the Group Head of HR, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing a strong connection between HR and operational managers, fostering an environment conducive to the growth and Development of our apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Early Careers and Development Manager, your key accountabilities will include:
- Proactively building relationships with stakeholders to enhance awareness and understanding of the value and benefits of Apprenticeship and degree programs.
- Supporting marketing activities to increase the uptake of Apprenticeship or degree programs, including external engagement.
- Collaborating with the Supply Chain Academy to source relevant training or apprentice programs suitable for various environments.
- Serving as an internal expert and liaison with internal and external stakeholders in collaboration with the Supply Chain Academy.
- Conducting assessments of the overall quality of programs through observations, quality meetings, and maintaining accurate learner journey records.
- Engaging in educational outreach activities to raise awareness of apprenticeship career opportunities within Uniserve Group.
- Actively participating in the development and support of the degree apprenticeship community within the business.
- Shaping and implementing an end-to-end apprenticeship and placement cycle from onboarding to qualification.
- Collaborating with apprentice providers, establishing service level agreements, and ensuring their successful delivery.
- Improving communication and understanding of the apprenticeship program/qualifications internally and externally.
- Collaborating with the Recruitment Team and HR Business Partner in attracting, progressing, and retaining Early Careers.
- Structuring Early Careers salaries and regularly monitoring in coordination with the Operation & HR leadership team.
- Maintaining accurate records of the Apprentice levy accounts for the group and ensuring proactive fund utilisation.

- Passion and energy to engage with the target audience.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to travel to different sites across the UK.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics Apprenticeship qualifications.
- Comprehensive understanding of funding and the apprenticeship levy.
- Confident and engaging presentation skills.
- Current full clean driving licence.
- Intermediate level expertise in Microsoft applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
- Continuous commitment to self-development and staying updated on new approaches in learning and Development.
