Job description

Wadham Library was built in the 1970s and officially opened in July 1976. The College has a lending collection of around 53,000 books representing all of the subjects studied at Wadham. There is also a fine collection of older books and manuscripts acquired, mostly through donation. We are looking to recruit a part-time Cataloguer to record its collection of Early Printed Books onto the university-wide integrated online catalogue. This is a fixed term position for approximately 22 months. Salary: Grade 6 on the University Salary Scale £32,332 to £38,205 per annum, Calculated pro rata for part time hours and fixed term. Application deadline: 12 noon on Friday 26 January 2024 with interviews likely to be held week commencing Monday 29 January. The post holder will need to have previous experience of working in a library, experience of cataloguing antiquarian material, good IT skills and knowledge of Medieval Latin and another European language.
