Who are we looking for?
Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as an Early Years Course Leader within their education department. The role involves leading and delivering a variety of courses tailored to early childhood education, focusing on nurturing the development of children from infancy to early school years. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children by providing high-quality early childhood education and fostering their growth and development during this crucial stage of life.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education related experience is highly preferred.
- Possession of a certificate in education or a willingness to pursue one is valued.
- Proficiency in early childhood development theories and EYFS frameworks, including knowledge of relevant educational frameworks and regulations, is essential.
- Experience in designing and implementing engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for young children is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders are important aspects of the role.
- The successful candidate will be committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the holistic development of young children.
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
