Do you recognise the importance and value of Outdoor Play for Children and their families?


Bright Start Children’s Centre Services are looking for a highly committed Early Years Practitioner to support delivery of our engaging Outdoor Play and Explore service.


Through this role, you will support children and families in various ways including, securing safe and stimulating environments, promoting positive attachment practice within outdoor groups and support the parents as the key educator in their child’s learning and development.


We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual with at least a level 3 qualification who has a vision for outstanding practice to join our Outdoor Play and Explore teams.


We actively invite applicants from those that are underrepresented within our service, including men. Research shows that only 2% of the Early Years workforce are male and additional support is required to enhance the attainment of boys.


The post holder will need to:


  • Support the Lead Practitioner in the running of the Outdoor Groups
  • Model high quality play opportunities to enhance childhood development
  • Transporting, setting up and tidying resources
  • Sign-posting parents to other Early Help Services
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Support Groups across the whole of Bath and North East Somerset
