Early Years Practitioner

Bradshaw Early Years Centre is a long established childcare setting in Saltcoats ,North Ayrshire.

We are looking to recruit a Full-time practitioner, or willing to look at job share with 2 part time members of staff. Work part of a motivated team delivering outstanding care whilst helping to provide fun learning and development experiences for all our children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years .

Responsibility's Include

Working as part of a team and on a individual basis to plan and implement a suitable range of stimulating and engaging experiences for our children both indoors and outdoors, whilst promoting positive behaviours and respecting others.

Carry out personal care routines.

Work closely with parents keeping them informed of their childs progress on a daily basis as well as regularly reporting on their wider learning and development through care plan meetings .

Communicate and maintain records ,reports, plans,evaluations,and any other reports on the children's progress to a high standard and in a professional manner .

Attend and participate in staff meetings and training both in or out of the setting .

Candidates should

Hold HNC in Childcare and education or SVQ3 in Childcare.

Have a working knowledge of Building the Ambition and or Realising the Ambition Curriculum for Excellence and Girfec.

Have a awareness of Health and Social Care Standards .

Have the ability and experience to professionally communicate effectively both verbally and

in writing .

Have practical experience of working with children.

Hold registration with SSSC or apply for registration upon employment and undertake PVG checks.

Full time and part-time post available.
