Lincolnshire County Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Early Years Specialist Teacher to join our Early Years Team within the Early Help locality team in Boston and South Holland.
1x early Years Specialist Teacher on Soulbury Pay Scale for 26.9 hours per week.
As an Early Years Specialist Teacher you will work as part of a multi- disciplinary locality based team to provide skilled educational support, advice and training to Early Years providers and those working in Children's Centres in line with associated standards.
Ensure that there is an integrated approach to the delivery of high-quality Early Years provision, with a focus on improving the educational outcomes of vulnerable children in order to raise attainment for all children and narrow the attainment gap.
Support educational providers in the maintained, private, voluntary and independent sectors to ensure they have arrangements in place to support children with SEN or disabilities, in order the LA meet their statutory requirements of the 0-25 SEND Code of Practice.
Provide support to Early Years providers to enable effective inclusion for children with SEND to support them to access universal and targeted provision.
Work with partners including statutory, voluntary and community organisations to develop a range of opportunities in order to develop parents' and carers' understanding and expertise of their children's educational development.
Deliver identified programmes of support to Early Years settings and Children's Centres to support vulnerable children to achieve a good level of development.
Provide universal advice on Early Years SEN/inclusion issues to ensure early identification of need.
You will need to be:
- Experienced in line with the requirements of the Job Description.
- Up to date with legislative framework, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the Children’s Centre agenda.
- Engaging, creative, knowledgeable and quality orientated.
- Approachable with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently and with confidence.
- Analytical to identify priorities for improvement and track our progress against key performance indicators.
