Early Years Teacher

Stoke Hill Preschool and Day Nursery is a purpose built Early Years setting, set within its own grounds. We are an experienced, energetic and collaborative team that have achieved four consecutive Outstanding Ofsted awards within the last sixteen years. 

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Early Years Teacher to join our creative and dedicated team of teachers and practitioners. 

You will…
•  Demonstrate a passion for driving early excellence when implementing a curriculum for each and every child to thrive in every area of learning and development within this wonderful sector.
•  Have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, reflecting such knowledge through activities and play. Create a learning environment for each child to reach their full potential.  
•  Be a strong communicator, relating to young children, parents, families and staff.  Work collaboratively with outside agencies and neighbouring schools maintaining excellent relationships.
•  Be able to plan and oversea the effective deployment of practitioners within the setting. Implementing high standards of interaction and learning for others to follow.
•  Be committed to safeguarding all children at all times, putting each child’s wellbeing and safety at the forefront and to create a safe and stimulating environment where children can naturally flourish. 
•  Be able to maintain the high standards of organisation and cleanliness of the Nursery School. 

Other duties include…
•  Work closely with the Nursery Lead/ Manager and contributing to all aspects of Nursery life
•  Carry out daily risk assessments
•  Carry out staff appraisals and supervision
•  Responsible for each child’s learning journey including all relevant documentation
•  Creating and maintaining an Early Years environment for everyone to achieve and prosper 
•  A solid commitment to the policies, procedures and the ethos of the Nursery School
