Do you love working with young children and supporting their care and education?

If so our family centre is the place for you as we currently have posts available to work with children between the ages of 0 – 5 years.

We aim to offer a safe and secure environment for all children, in which they will be offered a wide range of opportunities to learn through play. Enthusiastic staff will give the children opportunities to be creative, imaginative and to develop physical skills. We have a wide range of activities and equipment to suit all ages and interests. The children will be empowered to extend and develop their skills and confidence in a caring supportive framework.

‘Playing and learning together’

We wish to appoint experienced and outstanding Early Years practitioners to work as part of our team, with children aged 0-5 years.

Key skills/attributes include:

  • Previous experience working with EYFS children in a nursery/school setting
  • A good knowledge and understanding of child development and the needs of families and children
  • A good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and appreciation of the Early Learning Goals (ELG’s)
  • Enthusiasm to work with young children
  • Ability to build relationships and to lead and work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with children, adults, parents and carers, and colleagues
  • A friendly, helpful, caring and flexible approach
  • Open-mindedness and patience
  • A commitment to equal opportunities and inclusive practice
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all setting matters
  • A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills
  • Ability to physically fulfil the responsibilities of the post
