EC&I Engineer / DCS Engineer - CCGT Power Station

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company to recruit an EC&I Engineer / DCS Engineer for its site in North London.

The EC&I Engineer / DCS Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to �60,000 + private medical + competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting directly to the EC&I Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

* Being the site expert for electrical assets and C&I systems
* Leading and supervising a team of EC&I Technicians responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance work
* Managing and implementing SIL and Cybersecurity procedures.
* The preparation of technical specifications and execution of site EC&I projects safely and within budget
* Providing technical direction to operations and maintenance personnel and identifying areas of improvements
* Managing high value maintenance contracts
* Directing and supervising on site contractors
* Ensuring HSE compliance at all times.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* A HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* At least 5 years’ experience in a heavy process environment/sector (e.g. Power Station, chemical plant, paper mill, refinery, steel works etc).
* Ideally an IOSH or NEBOSH or Health & Safety Qualification
* Experience with ABB AC160, AC450 and 900xa systems would be hugely beneficial
