Job description

Role: eCommerce Category Merchandiser
Location: Leeds, LS15 or Leicester , LE67 (with hybrid working after completion of training)
Must live within a commutable distance to Leeds or Leicester or willing to travel 1-2 days per week to office
Salary: GBP30 - GBP35k plus extensive benefits
Contract type: Fixed term contract (6-12 months with potential to be permanent)
Employment type: Full time
Working hours: 40hrs pw, Monday to Friday

We are looking for individuals who can lead the change, to help with the set-up of our new consumer website, on the Big Commerce platform, and delivery best-in-class web merchandising and experience to our customers.

What you'll be doing?
Define, set up and execute best-in-class web product merchandising across our health and wellness categories on the Big Commerce platform
Set up the website taxonomy and search feature and set-up all products with the relevant product and attribute data
Identify and implement cross and upsell programmes, using sales and behavioural data
Working with the commercial teams to ensure all product ranges are available to our customer, with the right product descriptions, images and copy to promote the product and drive add-to-basket
Working with digital marketing teams to improve the landing page conversion and efficiency of marketing spend
Identify opportunities to improve the key ecommerce metrics i.e. add to basket, conversion, cross-sell participation, onsite search, checkout success/abandonment
Identify experience improvement in the customer journey throughout our sites i.e. content, UX/UI, features to drive sales
Manage and publish content updates (banners, images, copy, videos) to support promotions, events, or campaigns
Assist the wider team to undertake Keyword, competitor, and content research - ensuring keywords, titles, and product descriptions for all listings are optimised and well-ranked in search results
Who are we looking for?
Proven proficiency in maximising BigCommerce functionalities and content management systems, for effective merchandising, gained in a retail environment (either in a pureplay or omnichannel)
Experience using Shopify, Salesforce or Magenta
Degree or equivalent ideally in a Marketing related field
Strong analytical, technical & mathematical abilities
Commercial acumen, results driven and comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite (particularly Excel) and working knowledge of Google Analytics/other tools in the Google suite
An understanding of Adobe CS to create mock-ups & basic HTML coding & web design experience is a plus
Confident self-starter with strong attention to detail
Great team player with a sense of humour, who proactively helps fellow team members (and those in other teams) when they are busier
