The Team:


With the explosion of growth in eCom and Amazon, Mattel has acted quickly to win in this space by evolving our operating model, team structure and brand proposition to enable us to succeed and be partners of choice for Amazon. As a result, we have seen significant sales growth ahead of the trend in this area!

The Mattel Amazon team operates as a separate Regional Team within Europe, set up in a matrix structure with dedicated Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and HR functions, located across the region in UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Netherlands. In addition to managing Amazon for the region, the team also drives the strategy of marketplaces and acts as a center of excellence for all things eCom.

In line with Amazon’s expansion, we’ve also evolved from managing 5 European markets to 9, with Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Belgium launching over the last 3 years. We have also introduced a new Marketing team with regional focus on Category Management and Media. This has further supported how we can partner closely with Amazon to leverage our joint strategy and solidify our strong pan-European business relationship.

We’re looking for a passionate and driven eCom Senior Analyst to keep evolving our partnership with Amazon and enable sales and market share growth. In short, you’ll help to ensure we keep winning in this competitive landscape at European level.

We'll rely on you to analyze and interpret large datasets to uncover valuable insights and trends related to customer behavior, sales, and marketing campaigns. Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into data analysis requirements.

You’ll successfully collaborate with sales and marketing - on both a regional and local level - to deliver best in class sales activation and promotional strategies, helping Mattel reach #1 Toy Retailer on Amazon!

The Role:

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Evolve the analytics implementation to feed and drive the customization of internal dashboards and reports to meet business objectives and manage to best practices standards.

  • Support the EMEA Sales Director in diverse EU projects in the fields of business analytics, ad hoc data requests and database integration.

  • Utilizing data to create business cases to allow the company to keep improving processes and ecommerce business.

  • Undertaking work that is accurate and consistent at all times.

  • Understand the features and functionality of the various tools.

  • Understand the integrations and system dependencies between tools and enterprise systems/services.

  • Understand potential impact of new tools/features/functions implementations.

Strategy

  • Participate in different workstreams to developed strategies across the region in order to improve efficiencies, Amazon metrics and business overall.

  • Identify shopper & ecommerce trends for business growth and implement initiatives & action plans according to analytics insights.

Team Collaboration

  • Manages and communicates daily and weekly performance vs targets including leading business review meetings, highlighting performance to plan, drivers of plan variance, demand projections for future periods, identifying risks and opportunities.

  • Developing knowledge of the role within the wider E-commerce team, thus improving awareness of Amazon algorithm functionality and capabilities.

  • Being the go-to person for technical, data and reporting questions.

  • Being fast-moving and agile in approach to work, able to evolve into new technologies as they appear.

  • Collaborate with other functional areas such as, marketing, sales, finance, supply chain to support the business performance.

  • Together with the rest of the team, act as a center of competence and expertise for e-retail towards the rest of the organization.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or similar.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant analysis experience in digital or ecommerce environment.

  • Proven ability to take data and turn it into actionable insights.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.

  • Highly competitive mindset & Business results oriented: ability to perform, to budget and manage forecast.

  • Ability to build relationships within a matrix business environment and handle diverse audiences.

  • Execution focused.

  • Agility, adaptability and emotional Intelligence.

  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Natural ability to drive performance.

  • Good understanding of online / digital metrics.

  • Ability to work on a wide variety of projects with tight deadlines.

  • Fluency in English
