ABOUT YOU


This role is a great opportunity for an e-commerce assistant who is looking to take their career to the next level, or an established e-commerce executive looking to develop their existing skills.


As a core member of the E-Commerce team, you will be responsible for the delivery of strategies set out to enhance the website performance, with the aim of improving customer experience and overall conversion rate of the traffic to our website. You will understand the factors that contribute to a successful website and you will know how to draw insights from website data analytics. You will work with the Trading Manager to run regular tests across the website to ensure that it is as optimal as possible. We’re looking for a real team player that will gather insight from all the product and merchandising teams and translate that into actionable tactics on-site.


Main Duties and Responsibilities


Your key responsibilities are:


  • Be proactive in suggesting improvements/changes to be made on the website and assisting with website A/B testing using third party tools (such as Convert)
  • Regular review of website, ensuring there are no issues with products, pricing, banners etc. Overall to drive user experience and user journey improvements.
  • Ensuring that new promotional offers are accurately updated across the website
  • Regular monitoring of website metrics and acting on the results, ensuring the website is operating as effectively as possible
  • Work with the buying and merchandising teams to enhance the product journey for our customers.
  • Day-to-day merchandising of product category pages
  • Monitoring customer journey using third party softwares (i.e hotjar) and suggesting improvements based on customer behaviour.
  • Extract and review data using Google Analytics as well as our in-house data warehouse to help make decisions across the website
  • Tagging up areas of the website where required to appropriately track performance using Google Tag Manager


Skills and Knowledge


The E-commerce Executive is expected to have the following skills and knowledge:


  • Previous experience with Magento 2
  • Demonstrable experience working with e-commerce websites
  • Understanding of website metrics and how to interpret data to make informed decisions
  • Experience in using data analytics tools, i.e. Google Analytics, Tableau or equivalent data mining tools data
  • Good Excel & and Google Analytics skills, comfortable with analysing large quantities of data and condensing it into key insights
  • Previous experience with GTM would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Organised and methodical approach to work
