Description
I am recruiting an Economic Regulation Manager for an energy business based in either London or Manchester. You will:
- Lead significant aspects of the annual price control submission and subsequent engagement with Ofgem and customers, acting as subject matter expert across a range of areas and a key point of coordination across the organisation.
- Lead material aspects of engagement with Ofgem throughout the Price Control cycle, representing the businesses interests effectively and building a positive relationship with the regulator.
- Lead on the development of ExCo, Board or other similar papers on Price Control and related regulatory issues including emerging risks, briefings on financial performance and technical papers.
- Provide analytical and policy leadership across a range of Price Control and Economic Regulation issues.
Profile
You will have:
- Degree in economics or related analytical field (e.g. mathematics, engineering, etc.)
- A track record of working in a government department, regulator, consultancy firm, regulated business or similar
- Significant experience of providing analysis on regulatory, policy and/or business issues
- Experience of working within a regulated sector, such as energy, telecoms, water/wastewater, etc.
- A background in Economic Regulation, price controls, economic incentives, etc.
- Significant experience of leading large projects within a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong aptitude at distilling complex issues into easily understandable concepts for a range of audiences
- Extensive experience of engaging with senior stakeholders (both internal and external) and presenting at senior level meetings, up to and including ExCo

£54,000 - £61,000 PA DOE, car allowance, bonus and benefits
