PAY: £140+ Per Day - DOE

Location: Ilford

Position: Full Time/ Term Time

To start after Easter

An inclusive and supportive Secondary school in Ilford is looking for an Economics teacher to start after the easter break. QTS is preferred but strong unqualified teachers with experience will be considered. A degree in Economics or a closely related field is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters independent thinking, creativity, and active participation.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning and achievement.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective strategies for improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum and share best practices.
• Support and guide students in their personal and academic development, providing pastoral care where necessary.
• Engage with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to promote positive partnerships and regular communication.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for the humanities, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
• Good behaviour management skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school's ethos and vision.
• Subject to Enhanced DBS online updated and 2 references
