An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of administrators in Charing Cross Emergency Department & UTC, providing support to patients, clinicians, nurses, and managers.
As an administrator you will be the first port of contact for patients calling and coming into the department both at the front door and for patients arriving by ambulance. You will answer their queries and help solve any issues they may have encountered. You will work alongside the clinicians, nurses, management team and other administrative staff to provide a safe and efficient service to our patients.
The post also involves creating close working relationships with services outside of the Emergency & UTC Department, such as with the London Ambulance Service paramedics, the ICT department, and staff from the Urgent Care Centre.
You will have the chance to develop your administrative skills on our award-winning in-house courses and through a programme of structured appraisals, support and development.
Please be aware these are full time posts and the successful applicants will be required to work across a 24/7 roster. Which include long days/weekends/nights and bank holidays where necessary.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a customer orientated reception service and clerical support to the clinical team in the Emergency Department. This is to include, accurately registering and updating details onto the hospital databases and assisting in any enquiries from internal or external agencies.
