Job description - Editorial Assistant
Working closely with the Editorial Director, the Editor is responsible for managing content projects and ensuring that the agency is producing high-quality copy for articles, press releases, comments and more.
This role will require a combination of writing, editing and working with the team (internally, as well as freelancers) to consistently deliver content that is creative, engaging, timely, and aligned with their clients’ needs!
Job responsibilities - Editorial Assistant
Writing content for the company and its clients
  • Work with the Editorial Director to draft press releases, reactive comments, social media
content, blogs, and other written collateral.
  • Produce long-form content such as thought leadership articles and white papers for clients
as well as their marketing team
  • Understand the benefits and risks of using AI tools like ChatGPT to create written content
Editing content for its employees and freelancers
  • Review, edit and revise content produced by the team, including press releases, reactive
comments, social media content, blogs and thought leadership articles
Manage the editorial elements of various projects
  • Work closely with stable of freelance writers to build and maintain positive
working relationships
  • Identify, brief and commission relevant copywriters as needed, and ensure copy is delivered
to agreed deadlines
Business development
  • Attend client pitches and/or kick-off meetings to understand clients’ key messages and tone
of voice
  • Help the team to draft proposals for new business prospects, as well as proofreading and
editing these materials for others
Job requirements - Editorial Assistant
  • A degree from university
  • Proven editor/copywriting or journalism experience preferred- internship is fine!
  • A genuine interest and desire to work in the corporate/B2B PR space
  • A proven interest in writing creative copy
  • Creative streak - you can think outside the box and bring great ideas to the table
  • High attention to detail, including spelling and grammar
  • Commercial awareness - you’ll need to be business-savvy and preferably come with previous experience in an office environment
