ABOUT THE POST Do you like working with data? Do you want to influence management decisions at the top of an organisation? London Metropolitan University is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work as part of a small close knit team on their Enterprise Data Platform. In this role, you will be working to maintain, enhance and develop the university’s enterprise data platform to ensure it continues to be the foundation for processing the university’s key datasets to support data driven decision making in its operations and strategy. The EDP Senior Data Engineer is expected to take ownership for delivering medium to large complex data solutions and projects liaising with key stakeholders from design and architectural sessions to low level implementation plans, provide delivery estimates for deploying solutions to production including managing conflicting priorities both for self and team members assigned to project. Ideally, you will be someone that likes challenges, learning on the job and not afraid of trying new things and exploring the boundaries of their technical ability with freedom to use own initiatives and own their delivery.
