Our client an education charity based in Hackney is currently seeking an Education Key Worker to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Vocational Training, you will provide needs led support to young people with learning disabilities/mental health problems across the provision at the charity.
Responsibilities will include:
- Act as the key point of contact for social service interventions and external agencies, including virtual schools and partner organisations.
- Provide practical and social support to vulnerable young people during their studies.
- Support individuals to participate in enrichment and employability activities.
- Enable and support young people to develop their skills and confidence.
- Support and encourage young people to access the local community effectively through enrichment activities.
About you:
- Successful experience of working with pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Experience in managing challenging behaviour within young people.
- Ability to relate to children and young people from diverse social backgrounds.
- Ability to motivate / encourage / empower pupils and staff.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job.
- You will require an enhanced DBS clearance.
