Being an Education Resource Assistant at KFRS
The Education Resource Team is responsible for the identification, development and design of new and existing education materials, tools and programmes. Resources designed will be used by colleagues to educate a range of individuals and groups (including schools, colleges, Special Education Needs and Alternative provisions) or form part of Kent Fire and Rescue Service s digital education programme.
As an Education Resource Assistant, you will support the team supervisor in the design and development of innovative and engaging education materials that meet the needs and requirements of customers.
What you'll do
- Support the Education Resource Supervisor in the design and development of education materials, including digital content, physical resources, videos and interactive resources in line with defined objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external designated groups and networks e.g teachers/educators/students to understand the needs of the intended target audience
- Work with internal stakeholders to create education materials that adhere to organisational policies and guidance e.g brand identity and tone of voice
- Apply your knowledge of the National Curriculum (Early Years to Key Stage 5) and other relevant strategies associated with learning styles and requirements for the creation of materials
- Organise and maintain education assets including images, videos and other materials ensuring that the wider Education Intervention and Life Skills Teams have easy access and are fully equipped with effective and impactful materials to service their engagements and interventions
What you'll bring
- An education background with experience of working with the national curriculum and other relevant frameworks
- Experience of working with digital platforms with a particular focus on education
- Experience of designing and developing education programmes, materials. and resources with detail on how they worked to achieve the desired outcome
- Skills to plan and prioritise your workload to meet the demands and objectives of the organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
