Educational Psychologist
Pay Rate:
£500 per assessment, Minimum of 3 assessments per month.
Location:
Walsall, Face to face visits.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Educational Psychologist to work within our dynamic team in Walsall. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting the diverse needs of our students, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to create tailored interventions and strategies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents, while also contributing to the ongoing improvement of our educational programs.
Prefer candidate can do face-to-face assessments in Walsall Schools. Will consider candidates able to do remote assessment. Other than school visits the role is remote - i.e., no office facilities are offered.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the individual strengths and challenges of students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, parents, and school staff regarding strategies for promoting positive behavior, academic achievement, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention plans that address the specific needs of students, including those with learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, or developmental delays.
- Conduct research and evaluation activities to inform evidence-based practices and enhance the effectiveness of our educational programs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with research and best practices in the field of educational psychology
Qualifications:
- Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Educational Psychologist.
- Previous experience working in educational settings, preferably within a school or educational agency.
