Faculty
As part of the Faculty of Health studies aim to provide high quality education, which facilitates development of the future healthcare workforce, the School of Nursing and Healthcare leadership are expanding our team of Practice Education. These posts aim to provide an academic career in clinical/ Practice Education, through innovation, teaching, learning and research, providing an exciting opportunity to enhancing the student experience both in the University and in Practice.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering teaching, learning and assessment on undergraduate and post-graduate programmes
- Academic leadership appropriate to grade, from workstreams (Educators) to module and / or programme leadership (Lecturer).
- Building the school’s reputation through effective engagement with stakeholders, through open day, interviews, working with communities/ placements, bespoke education events or as part of improving the student experience
- Working with students as a personal academic tutor, and undertaking roles aligned to the NMC (2023) standards for student supervision and assessment.
- Working collaboratively, with team members, the University, students and other stakeholders to ensure teaching and curricula are contemporary, interesting and promote academic stretch.
- Undertaking scholarship, which furthers your career as an academic, ensure you maintain currency as an educator and maintain professional registration
- Undertaking appropriate professional development to respond to the changing requirements of the role.
Qualifications/ experience:
HCPC or NMC professional registrant, nursing associate or registered nurse.
Master’s level qualification or above (or be willing to undertake/ be close to completing)
Contemporary experience of working within a health and /or social care context and awareness of national and local influencers on nursing and care.
