About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) Writer to join our team at Kirklees Council. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating comprehensive and effective EHCPs that meet the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and amending EHCPs in line with statutory timescales.
- Collaborating with parents, schools, and other professionals to gather necessary information.
- Ensuring that the voice of the child or young person is central to the EHCP.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and the EHCP process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
