Ehs Officer

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated EHS Officer to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time EHS Officer role is based in Telford and offers an attractive salary just under £46,000 per annum (dependant on experience) and benefits package.

We are looking for someone that has Environmental, Health & Safety experience, preferably gained from within the Manufacturing industry, and we are looking for someone who is familiar with ISO14001 standards.

As an EHS Officer, you will promote an environmental, health and safety awareness and culture to fully achieve compliance with legislation and the strategic direction of the company, demonstrating best practice within business constraints.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Support the environment, health and safety strategic direction of the company and give support in meeting those related objectives
• Ensure that an Environmental Management System is established, implemented, and maintained
• Report to top management on the performance of H&S metrics and the environmental management system including recommendations for improvements
• Identify and implement energy-saving improvements for the whole facility in line with environmental targets

• Previous experience within a similar role
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
• Demonstrated best practice within business constraints
• A background in an environment, health and safety awareness/culture
• A relevant degree or equivalent experience
