The Team
The EU Public Policy Subject Expert team sits within the European Public Policy team. The Subject Expert team provides cross-cutting policy advice on key policy topics.
Job Description

• Develop and coordinate European public policy positions regarding Government, Politician, and Political Party Accounts (GPPPAs) and their use of TikTok;
• Develop and coordinate European public policy positions regarding political advertising;
• Act as main point of contact across European public policy team for European (including EEA, U.K.) and Israeli elections;
• Work closely with colleagues in the EU Subject Experts team on misinformation and disinformation in the EU;
• Work closely with European public policy campaigns team;
• Engage in external outreach with stakeholders including governments, regulators, NGOs, industry, etc.;
• Represent TikTok in media interviews about European election and political ads issues;
• Coordinate closely with Trust & Safety team on policy development, external outreach, and election preparations; and
• Lead development of positions for advocacy campaigns about TikTok’s approach to elections integrity; work closely with campaigns team to execute campaigns.

Qualifications

• Experience working on issues related to political and government figures on platforms for a platform, political party/government, NGO, or academic institution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for novel issues related to how the internet impacts the democratic process
