adi Electrical Approved Electrician

The Role

As an Approved Electrician, you will carry out the Electrical Installation of various low voltage wiring, containment systems and the testing and inspection of electrical installations for one of our key client sites.

Specifically, you will:

* Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install electrical systems and related equipment.
* Establish and adjust work schedules to meet production timetables and off hours testing & repairs.
* Use tools like an infrared camera, ultrasonic probe, specialty meters, etc., to perform preventative maintenance in industrial, commercial, and health care facilities
* TEGG monitoring of high, medium, and low voltage systems, mechanical pipework, and compressed air systems.
* Carry out test and inspection of electrical distribution while it is energised (live environment) - ensuring business continuity and no disruptive downtime of critical systems.
* Diagnostic activities and energised condition monitoring using high-quality imaging techniques including power quality, ultrasonic and thermographic analysis to identify potential problems
* Ensure that all electrical work complies with relevant safety codes, regulations, and standards. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to electrical work.
* Follow and promote safety protocols to create a safe working environment. Identify and address potential safety hazards related to electrical systems.
* Work closely with other personnel, engineers, and production teams to coordinate electrical work and support overall operations.
* Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Provide documentation for compliance and reference purposes.

About You

To join us as an Approved Electrician, you will need:

* Level 3 Electrical qualification / completion of an apprenticeship program in Electrical industry.
* 2391 Test & Inspection certificate
* Proven experience as an electrician.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work in various physical situations and be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
* Comfortable working in various environments, including exposure to heights and confined spaces.
