SalaryOur client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are seeking a skilled Electrical Architect/Engineer to oversee all aspects of missile development, from the initial concept stage to series production and in-service support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enhance their engineering experience.
As an Electrical Architect/Engineer with prior experience, you will be crucial in designing the electrical architecture, missile system, and launcher requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Technical Experience Required: Electrical/Electronics/Systems engineering (Essential)
- Interfaces; Data communication
- Knowledge of defence/industry standards, etc.
- HND or Degree level qualification in a related subject. Ideally, this would be within a defence-related background; however, experience within other engineering industries may be considered.
Experience within these other areas is also of interest but not essential
- Power supplies; Sensors; Actuators
- Health Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS)
- ATEX regulations.
What you'll get to do as an Electrical Architect/Engineer:
This involves defining the electrical architecture based on requirements, establishing the power architecture and safety design, defining interface characteristics between subsystems, determining requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening, supporting test activities, and reviewing and authoring guidelines and processes related to design.
Alternatively, acting as the Equipment Manager (RMO) for specific electrical/electronic equipment(s), you will:
"Manage equipment for project development, qualification, and manufacture. Create Statements of Work for design authority. Oversee suppliers for timely, cost-effective, quality delivery. Evaluate verification evidence and control budgets while managing workload."

Our client's relationship with the UK military spans back over 70 years. They have delivered countless landmarks in defence engineering, supplying vital defence capability to meet the needs of the armed forces over land, sea, and air.
This role is based at their headquarters in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
