The role
As an EC&I Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will be key in maintaining and improving nuclear and non-nuclear safety assets on site at Devonport. This role also offers you the opportunity to further develop your skills and experience with training support.
Day to day, you'll provide professional technical assistance and advice to support ongoing operational availability and maintenance of mechanical handling assets.
In fulfilling this, the EC&I Engineer role involves:
Undertaking asset condition surveys.
Recording defects through defect condition reports.
Preparing asset health reports for critical assets.
Responding to formal technical queries.
Specifying replacement equipment/components and supporting the production of configuration documentation for permanent modifications, including maintaining the content and configuration of technical drawings and documentation.
Periodic reviews of maintenance regimes and activities.
Essential experience of the EC&I Engineer:
Ability to understand / produce technical documentation - reports, specifications, calculations, and engineering drawings.

This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 1 day in the office/onsite and 4 days working from home. You are able to work onsite for 5 days a week.
Qualifications for the EC&I Engineer:
An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role. Sole UK nationals only.
