About the role:
Astute’s Power team is partnering with a Biomass Power Station producing circa 480MW to recruit an Electrical Technician for site in Ashington, Northumberland.
The Electrical Technician role comes with a starting salary of �47,700 which will rise to �51,900 after probation, the benefits package including private medical and an annual bonus.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer you will:
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical equipment.
* Fault-finding and rectifying problems on electrical equipment,
* Ensuring compliance with appropriate Heath, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards, policies and procedures.
* Assisting with scheduled outage activities
* Updating the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
* Read Electrical drawings and documents and interpret them as required to complete maintenance works.
* Learn the site Safe Systems of Work and be trained on the permit to work systems on site.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A minimum of a NVQ level 3 in a relevant Engineering discipline.
* HNC in Electrical Engineering (strongly preferred)
* IOSH Managing Safely
* COMPEX or BS7671 certificates are highly desirable
Personal skills:
The Electrical Technician role would suit someone who is:
* Self-motivated who thrives in a dynamic work environment
* Able to engage and influence team members of all levels
* Has strong IT skills
